Paramount Aims to Duplicate Success of Other Streaming Platforms

This move from Paramount illustrates that the streaming service is likely to imitate the success of other platforms in their own international originals.

Last year, Netflix's Squid Game was proved to be successful. It became the streaming service's biggest-ever series at launch. French thriller Lupin has been a hit in Netflix as well.

Apple TV Plus subscriber would probably be interested to watch "Pachinko." It is a drama about a Korean immigrant family. Apple recently renewed "Pachinko" for a second season.

In addition to its global content, Paramount+ offers an expansive lineup of premium locally originated programming. The streaming service is serving all types of audiences in all markets where the service is available.

VIS, Paramount's international studio will be Paramount+'s partner in producing the originals. VIS is a division of the company's vast worldwide studio footprint.
