Hitman 3's Ambrose Island DLC Arrives This Month — Watch the Trailer Here

Hitman 3's first new level is just around the corner.

IO Interactive recently announced that it would be releasing its first-ever DLC for the final game in its World of Assassination trilogy later this July.

Hitman 3 was previously released for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, and PCs on January 20, 2021, per IO Interactive.

Hitman 3 First DLC Details

Hitman 3's first DLC adds a new location to the game, according to the game's latest monthly roadmap, per IO Interactive. The DLC, aptly named "Ambrose Island," adds the titular location to the game along with missions, challenges, and unlockable rewards related to it.

Plyers can fully explore and perform assassinations on Ambrose Island as Agent 47 during several missions that involve helping a friend to "rectify his mistake."

The Ambrose Island DLC was previously teased as part of the game's year two reveal, according to The Verge. However, at the time, IO Interactive only shared a single screenshot of the island, shrouding it in mystery until recently.

It is unknown when the DLC's events happened before or after Hitman 3's conclusion.

Unfortunately, these pieces of information are everything IO Interactive can reveal at this time. As such, we will keep you posted on anything about Ambrose Island when the game developers share more information about it.

IO Interactive has also decided to keep the featured contracts in the same theme in preparation for Ambrose Island's release: pirates.

Players who are interested in joining the Community Featured Contracts are instructed to come up with a contract based on a "super creative briefing, a cool idea, or a plain fun contract. However, participants are required to keep to the "pirates" theme for their idea to be considered.

Other Additional Updates And Changes

Aside from the Ambrose Islands DLC, Hitman 3 will also receive new updates and features to enhance the player experience.

To start, The Himmapan Hotel is up next in Hitman 3's free location rotation.

For those who played the entire trilogy, there was the location where Agent 47 was assigned to kill a rockstar after an accident that may have involved him pushing his then-girlfriend from his hotel room balcony.

Additionally, Hitman 3 players can also unlock "The Iridescent katana" as a reward for completing July 14's new Elusive Target Arcades.

IO Interactive described the katana as having a colorful design that will make the blood you spill blend in beautifully with the blade's motif.

Hitman 3's Elusive Target on July 15 is Wen Ts'ai, who is one of the world's most highly influential food critics.

"The Food Critic," as Ts'ai is known in-game, has recently acquired a security team to protect him while he samples the Himmapan Hotel's award-winning dishes.

Eliminating him will give players the Casual Suit with Gloves outfit.

IO Interactive will also release a game update for Hitman 3 on July 26, which includes fixes to community-reported issues and some quality-of-life improvements.
