Elon Musk Says Tesla Cybertruck Deliveries to Start in Mid-2023

Elon Musk says Tesla Cybertruck deliveries are finally kicking off in mid-2023 after several delays.

The Chief Executive Officer of Tesla, Musk, previously gave a vague timeline of the deliveries of the upcoming all-electric pickup, saying that it would be out "hopefully next year."

Elon Musk: Tesla Cybertruck Deliveries Start in Mid-2023

A news story by The Verge reports that the giant electric vehicle (EV) maker initially introduced its all-electric pickup last 2019, showcasing its oddly-shaped design.

Back then, the giant automaker said it planned to begin the production of the Tesla Cybertruck sometime in late 2021.

But as early as August 2021, The Verge notes that the tech firm has already pushed back its initial production target to 2022.

And as we enter the new year this 2022, the ultra-rich founder of the EV maker, Musk, went on to announce that its production is facing another delay.

Instead of beginning its production in 2022, the billionaire entrepreneur hopes it would start in 2023, he said during the fourth quarter earnings call of Tesla last January.

But this time, the big boss of Tesla gave us a more specific timeline for the highly-anticipated Cybertruck pickup.

Musk discloses in the earnings call of the automaker for the second quarter of the year that it should start hitting the roads in the "middle of next year."

So it means that around July of next year, we might start seeing trapezoid-shaped electric pickups conquering the streets. But only if Tesla no longer faces another delay for the much-awaited production of the Cybertruck.

According to a recent report by Inside EVs, the latest sightings of the Cybertruck surprisingly looks nearly like what the all-electric car maker showcased way back in 2019.

It kept the trapezoid shape of the pickup truck, which looks like a futuristic concept vehicle.

However, it may look similar to the concept or prototype in 2019, but as time goes by, Tesla has removed and added a few facets of the massive truck.

Inside EVs highlight that the production look of the upcoming pickup EV has ditched the traditional door handles.

On the other hand, it has included new production side mirrors, which were nowhere to be seen in its original prototype.

The Tesla boss reportedly told the folks from Tesla Owners Silicon Valley last June 23 that the look of the Cybertruck has been finalized.

And now, Musk reveals during its earnings report that the Cybertruck is seeing the light of day in the middle of 2023.
