New Movies and Series Coming To Netflix This August 2022

A new month means new titles on Netflix.

Netflix is featuring a wide variety of content coming to the platform. This month's entries include numerous favorite movies from the past, all in different genres.

However, new movies, series, and animations are also scheduled to grace the streaming service. This includes thrillers, dramas, comedies, fantasy, and action. With that, here are some of the new original titles from Netflix that you can binge watch before the summer ends.

Me Time

Me Time is a comedy movie that tells a story about a father who plays the role of a stay at home dad, and for the first time in a long time, gets to treat himself to some alone time.

As his wife takes their children for spring break, giving him time at his own disposal, Sonny, played by Kevin Hart, struggles to find ways to spend his time.

The stay-at-home dad then makes the decision to get back in touch with his old best friend, who is portrayed by Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg ends up being the catalyst for a crazy weekend that is so out of control that it poses a serious risk to his life.

This comedy movie is an original title from Netflix, written and directed by John Hamburg and packed with hilarious and entertaining adventures played by Kevin Hart, Mark Wahlberg, and Regina Hall.

 

Carter

The next movie on the list for August 2022 is Carter, a Korean action and thriller movie that takes you to save the world against a deadly virus.

According to Decider, two months into a lethal virus that started in the Korean Demilitarized Zone and has subsequently ravaged North Korea and the United States.

When this happens, a man (Joo Won) awakens with no memories or knowledge of who he is; all he has is a task and the extra directive that he should go by the name Carter.

A weird voice in his ears gives him instructions and demands that he free a hostage-taking female. This movie would be a perfect fit for those who like action packed Korean movies.

13: The Musical

Movies for August 2022 on Netflix also include 13: The Musical. It is a coming-of-age comedic musical that follows 12-year-old Evan Goldman, who has moved away from his lifelong home in New York City to live with his mother as a result of his parents' divorce, as he experiences the common highs and lows of adolescence.

After moving from New York to Indiana, the young Evan Goldman grapples with preparing for his impending Bar Mitzvah and navigating the complicated social circles of a new school.

Never Have I Ever

Another movie to be expected on Netflix is one of their original series in season 3, Never Have I Ever. This is a series where you can find teenage comedy, drama, and love genres in one.

The long-awaited third season of the Netflix sitcom finally has a premiere date: Friday, August 12th. The show will have its typical format, consisting of ten episodes, each of which will be thirty minutes long.

The second season of the series concluded at the winter formal with a number of unresolved storylines.

Indian American adolescent Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), who stars in the third season of the coming-of-age comedy series Never Have I Ever, continues to struggle with the day-to-day rigors of high school and the drama that unfolds at home, all while navigating new romantic relationships.

This series will be perfect for viewers who are looking for a series to binge watch.

Day Shift

Movies for August 2022 on Netflix also include an entry from Jamie Foxx. Day Shift is an action and comedy movie that revolves around a vampire hunting business.

This Netflix original movie would be perfect for those who are looking for an action filled adventure, a comedy, and also a thriller movie. The Day Shift stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, and Snoop Dogg.

The movie tells the story of Bud Jablonski, played by Jamie Foxx, a hard working father who is willing to do anything to give his 8 year-old daughter a good and happy life, even if it means compromising his marriage.

Although Bud appears to be a dull California pool cleaner on the outside, he is actually engaged in the dangerous and hard business of chasing vampires with Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco.
