Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is launching this August amid the upcoming debut of its rival, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The Chinese phone maker, Xiaomi, announced the launch of its all-new foldable smartphone in its recent post on Weibo, a widely-used social media platform in the Asian country.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 Launches This August
Xiaomi has confirmed in its latest video teaser of the MIX Fold 2 that its upcoming flagship foldable device is launching this month in China.
According to a recent report by Sam Mobile, the recent Weibo post from the China-based tech firm also disclosed that Xiaomi is gearing to introduce the all-new Buds 4 Pro wireless earphones in August.
Besides the new earphones and foldable phones, Xiaomi also teased a new tablet offering, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, which launches on the same day.
As per the latest story from Mashable, the renowned tech giant left scant details regarding its upcoming foldable smartphone.
Nevertheless, the Weibo post revealed that it looks hugely similar to the design of the yet-to-be-released Samsung foldable.
And it appears that Xiaomi is bringing its cameras to the next level, thanks to its partnership with Leica. However, it is to note that the teaser kept mum about the specs of its shooters.
As such, the latest post left out the explicit specifications of the upcoming device. So we might need to wait for its launch in the next few days to get an official list of its specs, such as the processor, display, and overall design.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Launch
The launch of the new folding phone interestingly occurs on the same day that Samsung is also unveiling its new foldable devices, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 is debuting on the same day as the Samsung Unpacked event, which occurs on Aug. 10.
The Unpacked event also headlines the all-new Galaxy Watch 5. But no less than the president of Samsung, TM Roh, confirmed that it would focus on its new foldable mobile devices.
Foldable Smartphone Launch This August
It is worth noting that another foldable smartphone is seeing the light of day this August as well, sharing the spotlight with Xiaomi and Samsung.
The clamshell phone offering of Motorola, the Moto RAZR 2022, is debuting a day after the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event of Samsung.
Both the MIX Fold 4 and the RAZR 2022 would initially be available in the Chinese market.
