The filings are parallel to the previous trademark application and Apple App Store code, which hints that the Cupertino-based tech giant is using a "realityOS" moniker.

Apple AR/VR Headset 'Reality' Branding

According to a new report by The Verge, the news outlet Bloomberg spotted three separate trademark filings, suggesting the branding name of the upcoming mixed reality headset of the iPhone maker.

The recent filings mentioned three potential monikers that look to be what Apple is considering using once its AR/VR headset sees the light of day.

To be more precise, the naming options include "Reality Pro," "Reality One," and "Reality Processor," the latest trademark filings disclosed.

The Verge highlights in its story that these "Reality" branding names are consistent with the realityOS moniker that leaked much earlier than these new ones.

Bloomberg clarified in its report that the three trademark filings are not straight from Apple. Instead, it looks like the tech giant is using a shell company called Immersive Health Solutions.

But it is worth noting that the shell company, which filed for the previous realityOS trademark, known as Corporation Trust Co., registered Immersive Health Solutions firm.

The Verge says that the iPhone maker has a habit of using various shell firms when trademark filing applications for the names of its future products.

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 03: Apple CEO Tim Cook delivers the keynote address during the 2019 Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) at the San Jose Convention Center on June 03, 2019 in San Jose, California. The WWDC runs through June 7.

But the mixed reality device itself is likely going for the "Reality One" or "Reality Pro" title, according to a news story by 9to5 Mac.

The online news outlet notes that the "Reality One" moniker is an apt name for the first-ever AR/VR headset.

9to5 Mac reports that the first Apple mixed reality headset also suits a "Pro" branding as speculation has it that it would be a high-end offering. In fact, recent leaks predict that it could go as high as a whopping $2,000.

For now, it remains to be seen whether Apple plans to debut two variants of its "Reality" headset, thus the "Pro" option.

Meanwhile, the other trademark filing, which mentions "Reality Processor," could potentially be the name for its processing unit.

Early rumors have been suggesting that it runs on a processor that could be based on an M2 chip. Or essentially at the same level of performance.
