8 Wholesome Games You Can Find on Steam

For some people, games are a huge part of their lives. You may be one of those people who dedicate hours of it each day just to play. It makes sense if you don't want it to be all about violence, which is common for a lot of games. So, here are a couple of wholesome ones.

Cats are one of the most adorable animals to ever exist, so much so that there are cafes in Japan that have a whole lot of cats in them for customers to play with. You'll get to live the life of a cat cafe owner with the game.

You'll discover ways to interact with the animals in your virtual cafe, design your space, as well as create recipes for your store. The fun thing is that there are potions in the game that can do all sorts of things, like make a cat bigger so you can ride it.

City planning games usually take a long time before it's established, as pointed out by The Gamer, but with Islanders, you'll create versions of the same but requires very little time from you. You will slowly expand outward on the island as you create your own city.

This cute BnB wordplay-titled game is also a sim game, but this time you'll be running a bed and breakfast. Did I mention that you'll do so as a bear? You'll design hotels in different locations and do as hoteliers do. Of course, the specifications for the hotel designs will get harder as the game progresses.

It's already in the name, so it's sure to be wholesome, that is if you don't mind ghosts. Don't worry. The ghosts in the game are actually there to assist you with your tasks. You'll be doing hobbies and daily check-ins, which is a lot like what you would do in Animal Crossing.

5. Stardew Valley

This list wouldn't be complete if Stardew Valley wasn't added to it. In the game, you'll be a farmer restoring the land you got from your grandfather. There are also other activities like fishing and cave exploration. If you also like the appeal that comes with pixel art, you'll surely love this one.

When you first hear about the premise of the game, it'll sound a bit eerie if not ominous, but bear with me. In the game, you'll play as a ferry master for those who have passed on. You'll go on a journey and grant the last wishes of your passengers, according to GG.

You can play this game with other people and communicate with them through a series of chimes. You'll work on puzzles so you can progress further into the story. Other than wholesome, you'll feel relaxed with its graphics and smooth gameplay, as well as its music.

8. Gris

Gris is a platform-adventure game where you'll play a young woman who is feels lost in the world. You'll help her by exploring various beautiful locations and solving puzzles. You'll also go through platforms and even take up skill-based challenges if you want. There's not much text in the game so you won't have to worry language-wise.
