Honkai Impact 3rd's story is far from over.
HoYoverse recently announced that Honkai Impact 3rd's latest update, v.6.6, is set for launch in mid-May and that it would come with a brand-new main story and content that'll keep players occupied for some time.
HoYoverse ended the first volume of Honkai Impact 3rd's main story in April, ending the six-year-long journey for protagonist Kiana Kaslana, per Yahoo Gaming SEA.
Honkai Impact 3rd v6.6 Details
Honkai Impact 3rd's v6.6 update, subtitled "Woven from Last Snow," comes with a brand-new main story set in Salt Snow Holy City. According to HoYoverse's update, this brand-new story will be available under Story Chapter XXXVII, titled "Of Salt, Snow, and Sand."
Playing through the new story allows captains to earn the 4-star event stigma Susannah: Overtime (T), Crystals, Ancient Willpower, Terminal Aide 0017 fragments, and more.
Captains could also look forward to a new addition to the crew of the Hyperion, Misteln and her Dreamweaver battlesuit, and a new battlesuit for PROMETHEUS.
Let's start with Misteln. HoYoverse previously introduced her during the last leg of Kiana's journey, but hasn't become playable until v.6.6. Her battlesuit Dreamweaver is a MECH-type Physical DMG dealer that comes in two forms.
The first Dreamweaver form is her physical body, where she'll appear as a stoic commander waving a banner and summoning Seeds f Ideas to attack or defend. When she casts her ultimate during this form, she pulls enemies into a dreamscape and projects her astral body, her battlesuit's second form, to fight them instead.

Misteln's second form takes the appearance of a fearless javelin-wielding warrior excelling in close combat and hurling short spears from her back at just the right moment.
Misteln's second form is the first time HoYoverse introduced a javelin-wielding character in the game, meaning that the company introduced a new weapon type in-game to make Misteln playable.
Apart from Misteln, HoYoverse is also introducing a new SP battlesuit, Terminal Aide 0017, for PROMETHEUS. This battlesuit transforms PROMETHEUS into an IMG-type Physical support who attacks with her fists and provides support on the battlefield with her shields, which absorb damage and enhance their attacks.
Her ability to drain power from enemies allows her to restore her own SP and cast her Combo attack to send enemies flying into the air or turn her fists into a shield to block attacks.
Honkai Impact 3rd Events, Game Modes
Aside from new characters and battlesuits, captains can also look forward to Teriri's Magical Quest on v6.6. Playing through it would unlock a new outfit for the Herrscher of Thunder, Nocturne Ablaze, Crystals, Terminal Aide 0017 fragments, Honkai Shards, and more in the event shop, per HoYoverse's earlier announcement.
V.6.6 also comes with a new game mode called Inscribed Whispers, wherein the captain can cast various active skills one after another in battle by unlocking and equipping four attributes: light, ice, thunder, and dark.
