pHonkai: Star Rail will soon have its PlayStation 5 release.
HoYoverse has recently announced that the pre-registration and Technical Test are open, allowing insterested gamers to prepare themselves for its arrival.
Much like Honkai: Star Rail's initial release on mobile devices and PC, the end of the game's PlayStation 5 pre-registration also has rewards for every player.
Honkai: Star Rail Pre-Registration Facts
HoYoverse mentioned in its announcement that Honkai: Star Rail players can now pre-register for the game's PlayStation 5 release. Doing so allows those who sign up for the pre-registration to show HoYoverse that there is interest in a console release of the game as far as the PlayStation 5 is concerned.
Players that do pre-register can possibly obtain "The Seriousness of Breakfast," a 4-star light cone for characters following the path of Erudition.
Aside from the light cone, HoYoverse will also reward Honkai: Star Rail players based on the number of players who pre-registered for the PlayStation 5 release. Meanwhile, those who log into the game on the PlayStation 5 for the first time get a set of 4-star Cavern Relic "Musketeer of Wild Wheat" via in-game mail.
Here is the list of possible rewards players can get and the number of pre-registrations required to get them:
- More than 100,000 pre-registrations: Credit ×10,000
- More than 300,000 pre-registrations: Adventure Log ×5
- More than 600,000 pre-registrations: Condensed Aether ×5
- More than 1,000,000 pre-registrations: 4-star Light Cone, The Seriousness of Breakfast (Erudition) ×1

HoYoverse will give these rewards to Honkai: Star Rail members regardless of their platform. To pre-register for the game's PlayStation 5 release, gamers must visit the official Honkai: Star Rail Pre-registration page.
Pre-registration for Honkai: Star Rail's PlayStation 5 release will end on Aug. 28 at 10:00 AM UTC+8.
Honkai: Star Rail Technical Test Details
Honkai: Star Rail's pre-registration also comes with a technical test, allowing those who pre-registered for the game's PlayStation 5 release to try it out on the gaming console for a limited time.
Unlike a beta test, wherein players will get a clean slate as soon as it's over, the technical test allows players to make purchases and have their progress saved when it's over. However, the technical test's content will be the same as that of the official release.
While this technical test won't be beneficial for those already playing Honkai: Star Rail on other platforms, it is a perfect opportunity for first-time players to try the game out on the PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, not everyone who pre-registered can participate in the game's technical test.
Those that are selected will receive an email notifying them and giving them access to the technical test, per HoYoverse's PlayStation 5 Technical Test FAQs. The test will start on Sept. 4 at 10:00 UTC+8; it requires 30GB of storage space and will be done in a live server environment.
Players already playing Honkai: Star Rail on other platforms can participate and use their account to do so. Once they log into the game on another platform, they can continue their progress in the game without incident.
