Nintendo Direct to Feature Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Nintendo is set to stream a new Nintendo Direct presentation on August 31, that will feature the new Super Mario Bros. for Switch along with the new voice for Mario.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder 

The Super Mario Bros. Wonder welcomes the comeback of the beloved Super Mario characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. This includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and more as they go on an adventure to the Flower Kingdom. 

Players is up for a train of nostalgia as the new Super Mario game brings back the 2D gameplay but with new power-ups. For instance, a power-up can turn Mario and his friends into elephant. In addition, a new item called Wonder Flower will allow characters to summon level-changing effects. 

The Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be available on Nintendo Switch on October 20. Currently, the game is already in pre-order for $59.99. 

Charles Martinet Bids Goodbye as Mario 

Nintendo announced that Charles Martinet took a step back from his iconic voice portrayal of Mario after many years. Instead, Martinet will become Nintendo's Mario Ambassador. 

The Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be the first game that fans will not be hearing Martinet's iconic Mario voice. Despite of that, Nintendo remained excited on how the company will honor Martinet's legacy and his plans as Mario Ambassador. 

Nintendo has already filled up its 2023 success with just its Super Mario lineup from games and movies. "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" have already reached billions in box office while other Super Mario games are also succeeding in sales.
