'Rick and Morty' Gets New Voices

Titular characters Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith were previously both voiced by the series creator, Roiland. Adult Swim announced that Roiland had officially departed from the show earlier this year after he was faced with domestic and sexual assault charges.

Starting season 7, Rick will be voiced by Ian Cardoni who previously played minor roles in "Dead of Night" and served as a "Wrestlemania" narrator. Meanwhile, Morty will be voiced by Harry Belden who previously acted as an assistant in "Chicago Med." With such changes,  fans are divided about the upcoming performance of the duo since both are relatively unknown for now.

In addition, John Allen will be voicing the recurring character Mr. Poopybutthole, who had a lot of appearances in the premiere episode. Roiland previously voiced the character as well.

'Rick and Morty' Season Seven Release

The first episode of the season seven premiered last October 15 on Adult Swim with new episodes coming every Sunday night on the website. Meanwhile, fans can also watch new "Rick and Morty" episodes on demand via YouTube TV, Hulu+Live TV, DirectTV Stream, and Slight TV.

On the other hand, new fans and binge-watchers can still watch "Rick and Morty" seasons one to six on Hulu and Max. Subscribers of these platforms might have to wait for a while for season seven as season six was only released on Hulu and Max months after the show concluded.

Adult Swim also confirmed that the eighth season has already been written with the ninth season already in its development stage.
