Nintendo analysts weighed in on the possible specs, price range, and release date of the next-generation game console, Switch 2. It is suspected that the console will be released this year with minimal hardware upgrades.

Nintendo Switch 2 Might Debut With More Expensive Price Tag
Nintendo expert and Kantan Games analyst Dr. Serkan Toto shared his predictions that the device will be out this 2024. Moreover, the price point for it could be around $400 with games also getting more expensive at $70.
On the contrary, he believed that Nintendo would launch the Switch 2 with similar hardware to the existing model. "The next system is also likely to be an iteration rather than a revolution.
A few years back, Nintendo made a similar move with the launch of 3DS. Its hardware was only an improved version of the DS model. Regardless of this issue, the main concern for fans lies in the backward compatibility support which is one of the most requested features among fans.
Nintendo Yet to Confirm Switch 2 Existence
Since 2023, various rumors have been circulating about the development of the next-generation Switch console. However, Nintendo never confirmed any news or hinted about the upcoming console.
"The time is finally here for a Switch successor, even though I can say a 'Pro' model actually did exist and certain developers were already working with the dev kit," Toto added.
Last November, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa declined to reveal any plans for the Switch 2. At the time, the Switch had already surpassed 132.46 million lifetime sales.
