Chromebook with Assistant Key Feature

Although a dozen Chromebooks are continuously being developed, there have only been a few ChromeOS devices to offer the Assistant key feature over the past years. All of them are Made by Google products such as the Pixelbook, Pixelbook Go, and Pixel Slate.

However, code changes to Xol have been traced to Samsung developers. It is also no secret that Google and Samsung have been working together in the past years such as the Pixel series' Tensor chips.

9to5Google suggested that there are no signs of Samsung building the next Google Pixelbook but rather Xol will be the next Samsung Chromebook following the 2021 Galaxy Chromebook Go.

Samsung Chromebook With Assistant Key Rumored Specs

Based on the report there are few hints about its possible specifications. For instance, it would be powered by either a 13th or 14th-generation Intel Core processor under the Raptor Lake series.

In addition, there are also no signs of making it a convertible device, and is expected to adopt the traditional clamshell look. Beyond its processor and design, the in-depth details of the next-generation Chromebook are still unknown, with only the Assistant key as the main highlight.

As of writing, Xol's life is fairly new with a speculation that it only began last January 3. "It's simply too early in this Chromebook's life cycle to determine who is behind it, what it will be, and why it exists with a dedicated Assistant key," Chrome Unboxed wrote.

Regardless, both Samsung and Google have been actively working on integrating and improving their AI tools for their devices.
