Rockstar Games Cites Security, Productivity for Office Report

Rockstar head of publishing, Jenn Kolbe explained that the decision was made to increase productivity and heighten the security as the studio reaches the final stages of the game development.

"Making these changes now puts us in the best position to deliver the next Grand Theft Auto at the level of quality and polish we know it requires, along with a publishing roadmap that matches the scale and ambition of the game," Kolbe added.

Several companies have started to abolish the work-from-home setup that was established during the pandemic. Some employers are now asking employees to report at the office for two to three days a week to improve productivity.

Rockstar Games Suffer From Leaks

Over the years, the studio had experienced various leaking incidents. Most recently, Rockstar was forced to release the GTA VI trailer earlier after the son of an employee's friend shared the new images of the map on TikTok.

Not much is still known at the moment about the progress of GTA VI. In order to prevent any leak for the much-awaited game, Rockstar sees the back-to-office memo as a chance to reduce the risk of leaking anything online.

GTA VI is set to arrive in 2025 and the studio is making sure to avoid any setbacks for its launch, considering that the game could have the biggest release in gaming history.
