'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' Review: A Perfect Conclusion To Nathan Drake's Story

Almost, if not all, of fans were enthused when "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" was released, especially when it received good reviews from critics. With the game's massive success, one could think that it is worth of another follow-up. So what made "Uncharted 4" one of the biggest action-adventure third-person shooter video games today?

According to The Verge, Naughty Dog's unique way of telling Nathan Drake's story in an exceptional cinematic way is one of the reasons behind the "Uncharted 4's" success. It should be noted, though, that this is going to be the last of his many adventures.

Nathan first debuted in 2007's hit "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" where he is seen going from one adventure to another -- from acquiring ancient artifacts to discovering lost cities. But what makes "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" a game worth remembering is the way it puts a conclusion to Nathan's journey as a whole.

Sure enough, since the previous gamers, fans have seen Nathan grow as a person. He has become a relatable and lovable character, something that other video games fail to convey. "Uncharted 4" is indeed the right final chapter and/or ending for the highly favored character.

It is also worth noting that Naughty Dog continues to accumulate a huge following with the way it gives utmost importance to storytelling and characters, as reported by Hardcore Gamer. Also, it seems to make fictional elements seem believable. And yes, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is a living example to Naughty Dog's capabilities.

This kind of technique is rarely seen in other video games of today. The developers, in hopes to make the game more appealing, tend to focus their energy and resources to the visuals and gameplay features instead.

Simply put, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is the kind of game that delivers a rollercoaster ride to the most memorable moments in the life of Nathan. Nostalgia is done perfectly here -- and no other game can perfectly live up to such expectation.
