'Dark Souls 3' Update: 2 New Mods Allow Control Over Bosses, Gain First-Person View

Despite having its own fair share of ups and downs, it is still a sin not to include "Dark Souls 3" in the hall of fame. And while many will agree that it still has a lot to offer, it seems the new Mod is the biggest thing to have ever come. Imagine controlling a powerful, massive boss -- now, is it not exciting?

The "Dark Souls" franchise is known for giving players difficult challenges to surpass and formidable monsters to take. Without a good deal of idea about its overall whatnots, it can be very frustrating at times.

But thanks to the new "Dark Souls 3" Mod, players now have the chance to feel what it is like to be that other being of the spectrum. According to WCCF Tech, the aforesaid Mod will allow gamers to have first-hand experience in controlling the game's various bosses.

The revelation was made by a confessed "Dark Souls 3" fan, who made a video showcasing a Mod that he has since been developing recently. The Mod will give direct access to bosses, allowing gamers to control whatever they want to do with the monsters.

In the video, the player is able to control the titular boss sorcerer Pontiff Sulyvahn. Not only does the video features how the user is able to control the villain but he is also capable of shifting the camera's focus to the Boss' POV (point of view).

Basically, the goal of the new "Dark Souls 3" Mod is to both control enemies and battle other players. The only catch, however, is that such thing will only be made on the Offline 2 Player Arena Mode.

In related news, a first-person "Dark Souls 3" experience is now possible, thanks to a Mod (again) created by Zulliethewitch. While it can be very interesting, playing the game in such mode is not really fun, according to Kotaku. It veers away from the significance of special awareness. After all, there is nothing new with first-person mods when it comes to third-person games like "Dark Souls 3."
