'Fallout 4' PS4 Mods Likely To Be Cancelled? 'Contraptions' DLC Offers New Items

Just recently, Bethesda announced the upcoming arrival of "Fallout 4" mods to PS4. The release date was expected this month, though no exact date was given. However, when the studio unleashed an update for the game's PC Creation Kit, a bunch of issues surfaced -- most of which were unique to the whole system. With the ongoing situation, the highly anticipated mods are likely to be pushed back.

As of this writing, "Fallout 4" PC players (especially the modders) are given the option to download the aforementioned update. Doing so will allow them to upload the game's PS4 mods directly to Bethesda's official website.

However, as reported by GameSpot, the studio found out a couple of issues while integrating "Fallout 4" mods with PS4. From sound files not working accordingly to the storage being limited to 900 MB (when on Xbox, it is 2 GB) -- all of these are unique to Sony's console.

It holds true, though, that Bethesda and Sony are working hand in hand with these "Fallout 4" mods issues. In fact, even the tech giant is reportedly working particularly on the formats needed for the sound files to work properly.

But it is worth noting that these "Fallout 4" are poised to be released to PS4 this month. And with only a few days left, it certainly presents some sort of anxiety. Heck, if the issues still persist, the initial release date might be pushed back.

Bethesda has yet to release an official statement regarding the status of the issues. The latest news from them pertain to their devs and Sony's working on the underlying issue.

In related news, "Contraptions" DLC for "Fallout 4" has arrived. According to Forbes, the new downloadable content allows players to combine new items and make actual gears and/or machines in their respective settlements.

While the said "Fallout 4" content offers such, the newly added weapon and armors are what makes it quite interesting. In fact, players can have them displayed (once acquired, of course) on racks in lieu of the random chest or locker.
