HTC 10 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Which Is The Better Android Smartphone

The HTC 10 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 are already out in the market. Their features and specs can help customers gauge which of the two is the better Android smartphone.

HTC 10 And Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Appearance

The HTC 10 has an all metal body smoothed out by a chamfered edge, according to Android Headlines. The new look is certainly a welcome sight since the HTC smartphone has change little until now. Samsung's new Galaxy Note 7 has been encased with metal chassis. Both the front and back end of the Galaxy Note 7 is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The Samsung smartphone is also sporting double curve edge design.

The HTC 10 has a slightly smaller display screen size of 5.2 inches compared the Note 7 which has a 5.7 inch. There is a small height difference in favor of The Note 7 but its only 8mm.

HTC 10 And Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Common Features

Obviously both have the Android operating system and running the Marshmallow 6.0 version. Both feature front and rear cameras with 5 MP and 12 MP respectively. The two models also have similar RAM capacity at 4GB and use the same processor which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. Battery capacity is also the same at 3500 mAh.

HTC 10 And Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Difference

The HTC 10 uses a Super LCD as its screen display in contrast to the Note 7 which uses Super AMOLED. In terms of pixel per inch (PPI), the HTC 1o has the advantage with 565 versus Samsung's 515.

The HTC 10 and Note 7 share most of the common sensors available to their class. Samsung's smartphone however, has more. Sensors available in Note 7 but absent in HTC 10 include the Barometer, Heart Rate Monitor and the Thermometer.

Conclusion

Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 offers more features. However, the HTC 10 is cheaper.
