Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Top Competitors, Apple And OnePlus Join The List

Now that the Galaxy Note 7 have become infamous for its defective battery, people who are yet to purchase it may already be thinking twice about buying it now. Sure, Samsung may have done its job of doing a recall and replacing all purchased devices, but it is already expected that future Note 7 sales will be affected.

If you are one of the people who would have bought the Note 7 before the explosion controversy, there are still other options for you. Here are some of the recently released flagship phones that are in one way or another, as high-end as Samsung's Note 7:

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

These Apple devices may be a predictable suggestion, but they are definitely still worth mentioning. These new Apple flagship phones are generously specced and carries Apple's reputation when it comes to mobile safety and performance. The iPhone 7 Plus even has a dual camera system that can, at least on paper, compete with Samsung's impressive cameras.

Galaxy Note 5

If you're a big fan of Samsung's Galaxy line and feel that the controversy is isolated to the Note 7, you can always opt for the device's predecessor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 isn't so bad of an alternative, especially when it shares a number of specs with the Note 7.

OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3 isn't only a good alternative specs-wise, it is also one of the most budget-friendly options. It's got impressive specs like 6 GB RAM, 8 MP front camera and 16 MP back camera, but it only costs around $399. The OnePlus 3 price is just about half of Note 7's.

iPhone 6S

The iPhone 6S may be old news, but there has been a video online that conducted a speed test between the 6S and the Note 7 where the Samsung phone did not even put up a fight. The speed test showed that the iPhone 6S offers smoother performance in opening volumes of apps, while the Galaxy Note 7 lagged after just a few seconds.

Buying a Galaxy Note 7 isn't exactly discouraged, especially if you get the fixed units. These are simply substitutes to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in case you have changed your mind on the model.
