‘Pokemon Go’ Alolan Forms Update: Alolan Rattata Has Mustache With Hustle, Gluttony Abilities; Yungoos Only Way To Control Population; Pokemon Trading Card Game Coming Soon!

"Pokemon Go" is reportedly going to add a new character called the Alolan Rattata. Leaked images were spotted in a Japanese magazine which revealed the evolution of Rattata. Other details that were featured in the leak were related to the newest "Pokemon Trading Card Game" expansion.

The Sept. 2016 issue of Japanese Magazine CoroCoro revealed the new information in leaked "Pokemon Go" images together with "Pokemon Sun and Moon" information about Ultra Beasts. However, Serebii.net founder Joe Merrick referred to the leak of the scans and does not seem to see the correlation between the "Pokemon Go" pointing to Alola Forms and "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

The leaked images showed Alola Rattata, with a screen grab for "Pokemon Go." The Alolan form was dark and sporting a mustache, and equipped with the abilities of Hustle and Gluttony.

Apparently, the Rattata was so widespread in Alola that Pokemon Yungoos had to be created to control their population. Rattata had to evolve to adapt against the threat of eradication, turning into a unique Alola form.

"Pokemon Go" is made by American software development company Niantic which has a headquarters in San Francisco. Niantic is the developer of the popular mobile game in partnership with The Pokemon Company and Nintendo, but Niantic reportedly did not stay involved with the Pokemon series beyond 'Pokemon Go'.

It remains unclear when the second generation Pokemon like Totodile, Cyndaquil, Chikorita and their Alolan forms will become available in "Pokemon Go." Alolan Raticate is also in existence.

The CoroCoro leak also showed off new details about the all-new "Pokemon Trading Card Game" expansion. The magazine featured cards for Litten, Rowlet, Popplio, the Alolan Starter Pokemon, and Snorlax-GX, which shows Snorlax using its powerful Z-move.

"Pokemon Go" is expected to change a lot in the next installment in the "Pokemon franchise, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" which is set to roll out in the US on Nov. 18. The game can be pre-ordered in Amazon. The Pokemon Company is expected to make an official statement on Sept. 14 revealing more information about "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
