How To Play NBA 2K17 Prior To Its Release -- Whether Or Not You Pre-Order

It's safe to say that almost all of the fans of NBA 2K17 are quite excited with the upcoming title. While it's only a few days away from its official release, there are those who want to experience it beforehand. They surely can thanks to the so-called Early Tip-Off promotion. How does it works? And oh, what about those who didn't pre-order the game? Well, here, check it out!

NBA 2K17 is slated to arrive this month, particularly on September 20. Fortunately, fans can actually get hold of it before its official release date -- most especially if they pre-order the game. This is basically what the aforementioned promotion offers.

According to GameSpot, the NBA 2K17 Early Tip-Off lets fans enjoy it ahead of the title's release date next week. And take note: this applies to all of the editions of the game. From the base edition ($60) to the Kobe Bryant Legend Edition ($80) to the Kobe Bryant Legend Edition Gold ($100), these will all be covered.

It's worth noting that the Early Tip-Off promotion didn't originally start with NBA 2K17. It was first introduced in the previous installment, which is NBA 2K16. Fortunately, 2K Games decided to bring it back this year, with the plans of making it an annual promotion of sorts.

As for NBA 2K17 fans who didn't pre-order the game, there's no need to worry. They can also play the title days before its release, though some parts of it only. This can be done through the title's free Prelude app, which has recently been made available. It lets players create their own character for the MyCareer mode.

NBA 2K17 is slated to hit the shelves come September 20. It'll be made available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. For this year's cover athlete, Paul George of the Indiana Pacers is taking the spotlight.
