‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Spoilers: Stefan Upset About Damon & Elena; Showrunner Teases Sad Ending

The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” is nearing its final season and its cast, crew and long – time supporters are sad that the teen horror series is about to bring down the curtain after seven long years of thrilling entertainment.

Aside from the controversial return of Nina Dobrev (Elena) in the popular tv show, avid fans are eager to know the love triangle that surrounds Elen, Stefan and Damon.

Stefan Worries On Damon And Elena’s Future

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, producer Julie Plec shared interesting details about Stefan’s concern oh his brother Damon and his future meeting with Elena.

“Stefan somehow inherently understands that what’s happened to his brother is not Damon’s fault. Whatever is going on with Damon, he’s under some sort of control or is in some situation that he can’t entirely get out of. He’s very focused on trying to rescue his brother from this mess, understanding that the fallout of whatever it is that Damon has to do could impact his ability to be reunited with Elena one day.”

To recall, Damon and Enzo were possessed by an unknown evil force following their unlocking of a mysterious vault, hence the duo relive ugly old game that involves killing of innocent people.

Showrunner Plec couldn’t contain her emotions in the last season of the horror series and hinted a happy conclusion with a heartbreaking plot.

“Cynicism doesn’t have its way in series finales. My emotional desire when I watch a series come to an end is to be crying and laughing and cheering as the final credits roll, feeling like I just got delivered the happy ending, whether the plot ends happily or not.”

It looks like the followers of the series have to anticipate an emotional ride of emotions when “TVD” returns especially on its last episode.
