Pokemon GO Fever Diminishing? How Much Is It Earning?

Pokemon GO has shown a decline of its overall activity for the month of September. According to the games data analytical firm Newzoo, the location-based mobile giant has had a decline from its peak which was reported to have reached an astounding 27 million downloads and drawing $16 million of revenues daily.

Is Pokemon GO Losing its Hype?

The answer is pretty simple, it is still rolling. When you talk about diminishing overall activity, it doesn't mean that the Pokemon GO hype is severely declining. It just shows the game has already reached a peak of its milestone and is progressing into its next phase.

Based on Newzoo's infographics, the results show that despite a decline from its peak, the game is still amassing 700,000 daily downloads and $2.1 million of revenues daily. And what's even more astounding is that Pokemon GO has yet to be released in South Korea and China.

Will Pokemon GO Expect A New Spike?

According to Newzoo's data, Pokemon GO has been drawing new gamers into the industry; 24% of its players are relatively new or hadn't played any of the top mobile franchises. This means that roughly 20 million new mobile gamers are drawn into the game from US, UK, France and Germany alone.

Moreover, Newzoo has revealed that traditional players are already playing Pokemon Go for the past 3 months with over 80% of Dota 2 and Smite community actively playing the game.

Lastly, Niantic had made a great move of introducing the 90s kids into the current mobile gaming industry. Added to its ingenuity is how it captivates the current meticulous set of gamers and the traditional ones and wrap them all up into a one solid audience.

With the upcoming release of Pokemon GO in China and South Korea, the mobile giant will surely expect a surge of new subscribers in the next few months. However, details regarding the upcoming Pokemon GO release is yet to be disclosed.

Conclusion

Bottom line, Pokemon GO is still living to its "hype" and still sits atop the mobile gaming industry today. This numbers may soon rise or fall depending on the updates and how Niantic will move and respond across the ever flactuating global market.
