On a nice Sunday evening, Ryan Lochte, an American competitive swimmer announced his engagement with his Playboy model girlfriend Kayla Rae Reid on Instagram posted a photo of him and his fiancé kissing while Kayla Reid showing off her ring with a giant diamond on it on instagram captioning it with "Memories forever!!!"

While everybody has their attention on the second presidential debate, Ryan Lochte sneaked off to set a super romantic proposal to his girlfriend.

According to E! News, the Olympic gold medalist took his 25-year old girlfriend on a private helicopter tour in Los Angeles. The couple landed before the sunset, with the view of the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California where Lochte finally popped the question in which Reid unsurprisingly said yes to. The ring was platinum and custom-designed with a radiant cut diamond, Lochte’s rep confirmed.

Lochte first revealed that he was dating his now bride-to-be, when the playboy model went to Rio topay him a little visit during the Summer Olympics 2016. Reid together with Lochte, was seen hanging out with his parents during those times and referred to him as her "favorite person ever" and a "silver fox". But even after they were seen together and after they have shared photos of them on social media, Ryan Lochte once denied that he was dating anyone during an interview with NBC.

After all the obstacles that the Olympian went through, especially during the robbery scandal back in Rio, Lochte is thankful that he had Reid standing by his side and supporting him all the way. Kayla was even seen in the audience during his performance on Dancing with the Stars. He later explained that her loyalty to him made him realize that they're totally meant to be together even if they have only been dating for a short period of time.

The couple haven't set their wedding dates just yet, but they sure are excited to make more memories.
