Top 5 Games This Year That Couples Can Play This Halloween

Don your taste for morbidity and the macabre - atleast until the end of Halloween - because we've compiled a list of the Top 5 gripping video games that couples will enjoy this month of the spooks! These games came out and some will be coming out this month before the night we all shed our skins and become what we really are - existential crises incarnate (oh the horror).

As your pretend fairy godmother, I advise that you stay out of those clown-infested streets and hole up somewhere with a loved one instead - or family and friends to keep you cozy, safe, and sane. You have been warned.

Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide. If you merge 'The Lord Of The Rings' and' Left For Dead' together - you get 'Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide' except you replace the zombies with horrific mutated man-eating rats called the Skaven. Compared to zombies though, these rats are smart enough to invade cities and they come in all shapes and sizes. This is a co-op experience that you can play with a partner in crime and two other players-or replace those players with AI. It's first person and offers an array of melee and range weapons along with five different classes to choose from.

These classes are the Dwarf Ranger, Waywatcher, Witch Hunter, Bright Wizard, and Empire Soldier. Each has unique skills and roles they can bring to the party to decimate those ugly horrific Vermintide hordes. With Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide's medieval setting and creepy gothic atmosphere, you get to feel like a Tolkien character at the second coming of the dark age - or the ending of time.

Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide has been available on Steam since last year but recently came to the consoles this month. It's been recently madde available for the Xbox One and the PS4. Whether you play it alone, as a couple, or with friends, it's sure to keep your blood running.

Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood. Speaking of blood, no other game we could think of that will probably drain everything you have other than Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. It it the sequel to the horrendously overwhelming experience that is Until Dawn. Although Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood will only be exclusive for the PlayStation VR, it's one of the perfect games for couples and fans of rail shooters who seek roller-coaster thrills and fast-paced gameplay. The upside? Scare each other into madness when only one of you is wearing the PSVR.

The only downside though is that it is Until Dawn: Rush of Blood will be PlayStation VR exclusive. Whether it'll come out to other VR platforms is not confirmed. In each playthrough you get to shoot psycho clowns, wendigos, collectibles and other bonuses. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood comes out for the VR on October 13, 2016.

Resident Evil Remastered. The first game of the Resident Evil series did release back in 1996 but the recent remastered versions of the game is a definite to-do list. Now rendered in HD the game looks a thousand times cooler and way creepier than the original as you can now see very discernable and most of the time hair-raising details within the game. The look that evil dog shot me gave me serious heebie-jeebies, and the rabied way it was drooling didn't help.

Resident Evil isn't a coop game and no matter how many times gamers beg, it will never be. Still, this coming Halloween will be the perfect time for couples to revisit or experience Resident Evil for the first time in mind-boggling HD. What I loved about this game is that I can play the characters donning their stylish BSAA gear from Resident Evil 5. With Resident Evil Remastered, you can lay back together in bed and take turns at the controls as you enjoy the intimidating horror that lies within the mansion halls. It's available to several platforms: PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

We Happy Few. Hold off on those joys and get a whopping dose of retro-futuristic reality instead in We Happy Few. It's a survival game that offers permadeath as a feature and could be a hard crawl for beginners. Thankfully, you have your partner with you to help you keep tabs on your hunger, exhaustion, and even at spotting clues within the game.

The dystopian world of 1960's England gave me the dank cold feel the same way the delusionally happy residents of Wellington Wells and their creepy white smiles made me uncomfortable. Although We Happy Few is not considered a horror game, the gameplay could keep you immersed and constantly on your toes as there are many possible factors that could kill your character. This game is available in early-access; which means you get to play the game as it develops.

Dead By Daylight. Probably the most fun and suspenseful game in the list, Dead By Daylight is a salute to every survival horror games and even movies that appeal to lovers of the psycho-killer cat and mouse chase subgenre. It's a multiplayer 4 versus 1 horror game where one player takes the role of the savage killer and the rest are but Survivors - or sacrificial prey. Perspective is key when you inspire the inner serial killer on each other.

The Survivors' job is to escape from the closed area by sneaking around, avoiding the Killer, and fixing generators that open the exits. The Killer just needs to eradicate everyone before that happens. The environment changes everytime that you play so seasoned players really don't have that much of an advantage except their experience of the game. This is perfect for couples and friends especially on Halloween and it's available for PC.
