‘General Hospital’ News, Cast Rumors: Could The Major GH Shakeup Be Two Jason Morgans? Billy Miller Stays, Steve Burton Makes A Comeback?

There has been a lot going on in ABC's daytime soap opera "General Hospital." As it turns out, the drama is not just going to unfold in the show's daily episodes but also within the cast behind the soap. After reports that Billy Miller's contract -- which will expire within the month -- has not been renewed, gossip sheets claim that the actor will be leaving the daytime soap and Steve Burton will take his place. However, news came to light that GH might just introduce two individuals who claim to be Jason Morgan.

"General Hospital" Cast's Contracts

When it comes to renewals, "General Hospital" is notorious for not renewing its stars' contracts during negotiation. Earlier this year, one of the cast members of the soap, Tyler Christopher, left because there had been some issues with his contract. There was also news that another actress who has a lead role, Rebecca Herbst, almost left the show. Now there's talk that Miller's contract is about to expire but there seems to be no negotiation going on between the show and the actor. This led to speculation that he will be let go.

Jason Morgan's Fate

Among the biggest questions that fans have is what would happen to Jason Morgan when Miller leaves. The most popular, by far, is that Steve Burton would make a comeback and take over Jason Morgan's character once again since his contract with "The Young and the Restless" will end in December. However, based on a poll by one of the fan sites, 61 percent wanted Miller to stay as Morgan.

Hence, the best solution that most fans see is to have both Miller and Burton in the show. It would be an interesting twist to see two Jason Morgans. However, at the moment there has been no announcement from the network or the actors, so until then these rumors will remain as speculations.
