2016 has been a great year for the gaming industry and community - from the new console releases such as the PlayStation VR to the highly anticipated video games, we all can definitely say that this year has been definitely awesome and we sure can expect for more. One console that everyone can't wait to get their hands on is the PlayStation Pro.
The PlayStation Pro has had teased gamers and techies for several months now. With its full 4k output and increased graphic power, HDR console gaming would definitely be more intense and a more heightened experience as well as binge-watching your favorite Netflix shows on your 4k-ready TV.
PS4 Pro Patch for Games
While the PS4 Pro isn't released until Nov.10, it didn't stop game developers from releasing PS4 Pro patches to their games as early as now. Of course, they want to get ahead during the launch of PlayStation Pro. And we're not even talking about boring, unpopular games here.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor patch for PS4 Pro
One of the PS4 Pro patches that has been recently released is for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. This open world action-adventure game recent update 1.02 on PS4 mentioned a "4k Support" being added. The main game is reported to have an 8.3GB update while the Game of the Year Edition with a 135MB patch.
Smite Update
Smite from Hi-Rez Studios has also been mentioned to have prepared for the arrival of PS4 Pro with its 3.19 update. In their patch notes, Smite PS4 Pro patch download size is higher than normal since the texture resolution has been increased. The new Smite update also preps for Project Scorpio release next year.
The Elder Scrolls Online PS4 Pro patch
From Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Online Studios, The Elder Scrolls Online is also reported to support Sony PlayStation's upcoming console. The One Tamriel update included a PS4 Pro support for the hit multiplayer role-playing online game and said to feature two graphic modes - game in native 4k on 4k displays and a 1080 enhanced mode.
Other notable games with PS4 Pro patches include Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Fallout 4, Paragon, NBA 2K17, The Witness, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, The Last of Us Remastered, FIFA 17, Thumper, infamous First Light, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
