What Makes Nintendo Switch More Exciting Than PS4 Pro And Project Scorpio?

The recent Nintendo Switch reveal seemed to have broken the internet. We have to admit, when Nintendo released the official first trailer for the Nintendo Switch, we were awed about how new and amazing it looked. And when we recount the part where two people took off the detachable controllers (called Joy-cons) on the Switch's sides, our hearts leaped for a moment there. What they said about the upcoming Nintendo console, formerly known as Nintendo NX, was true after all.

Nintendo Switch is Something New

For those following Nintendo for years, it is quite expected that they tend to do things differently. From publishing games to creating new systems with their unique visions, it is probably the main reason why Nintendo is at the top of their game. Their unveiling of the 2017 Nintendo Switch seemed to confirm that.

When the Nintendo Switch trailer was revealed, it somehow surprised everyone seeing a home console turning into portable device just like that. That means those games in your home console library will share with the portable game ones. Talk about convenience, right?

Nintendo Switch Hybrid Console

With the Nintendo Switch being dubbed as a "hybrid system" where you can just take your home console with you for gaming on the go, gamers are delighted with the many possibilities they can do with the upcoming home console-handheld machine. The idea that you can just attach the stick remotes to the side of the Switch and will then automatically turn into a tablet for you to continue gaming is what we all want, especially since not everyone can stay at home for hours. This gaming-on-the-go feature is what PS4 Remote Play wants to be but then it just couldn't.

Nintendo Switch Gaming On The Go

Now imagine having to pause such time-needing games such as Skyrim (the trailer showed Skyrim!) just because you have to go somewhere else outside your home. We can imagine how long you're probably longing to get back on the game but can't since it's sitting in your home's living room. With Nintendo Switch, you can take Skyrim with you and those long travel hours wouldn't have to be so unbearable.

The on-the-go gaming console is not entirely something new since we already have the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS. Then again, the idea of being able to continue gaming from your home console to your handheld is something the Nintendo Switch has been able to fully achieve.

Nintendo Switch Partners

As of now, Nintendo Switch is seen to have major developers and publishers as partners which include Activision, Bethesda, Capcom, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and more. For now, we can definitely expect awesome games coming.

Nintendo Switch vs PS4 Pro vs Project Scorpio

Microsoft Project Scorpio and PS4 Pro can provide some of the similar experiences from Nintendo Switch but then again, what sets it apart from its competitors is the gaming on the road capability which is something huge. Additionally, Microsoft and Sony have been known to provide video game consoles with amazing hardware power and at the back of our minds, Nintendo won't be able to beat that but then again, traditional console gaming can quickly become obsolete.

We may say that it's too premature to compare the little details we have of the Nintendo Switch to the PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio but we can all agree on the fact that it indeed revolutionized gaming. Of course, we are crossing fingers for Nintendo Switch specs, features, price, and more to be revealed soon.
