Ronda Rousey Vs. Amanda Nunes: UFC 207 Will Be Rousey’s Last Fight?

Ronda Rousey will finally make her return to the Octagon to try and reclaim the bantamweight championship against Amanda Nunes, but rumor has it that this will also mark her farewell fight.

Ronda Rousey has been dormant and relatively quiet ever since her monumental upset loss at the hands of Holly Holm at UFC 193. Many of her peers have claimed that she has been mentally defeated and even accused her of being a part time fighter.

Despite being the most dominant champion in the history of women's MMA, Rousey is going to find herself in a bit of an underdog role heading into the match. In her absence, "Rowdy" has been accused of being exposed and mentally weak. There were even doubts if she would ever return to the sport she once ran through with ease.

And this also presents the perfect opportunity for her to create the storybook ending in her UFC illustrious career. A win over Nunes will cement the perfect comeback, the perfect story, and of course the perfect ending.

It definitely makes sense for Ronda to end her career with a victory over Amanda Nunes. She will gain redemption by beating a feared striker. She will also resume a flourishing career in Hollywood which was getting quite hot before the knockout loss in November.

But most importantly, her legacy as the best female mixed martial artist will be further cemented with this win.

And because so many people have put her down, it is easy to forget that this is not a tall order Ronda Rousey. It is true that her stand-up game has plenty of holes and that Nunes is equipped enough to capitalize on that. But Rousey's ground game remains one of the best in MMA and if this thing goes to the ground it will be hard for Nunes to leave the octagon with the title.
