Switch Is Nintendo’s Remaining Hope To Bring Back Its Glory After Wii U Sales Fell, 3DS In Stasis

As Nintendo has disclosed its financial report in the last six months, a huge drop in net sales of Wii U can be noticed while 3DS is in stasis. This led to the Japanese console company reduced sales forecast for the newly-introduced hybrid game console, Switch. However, Nintendo is firm that Switch will bring back the glory that once afforded it.

Nintendo Switch "Won't Make Loss"

Nintendo Switch, the hybrid gaming console, has been seen by financial analysts to catapult the company's nosediving sales back on top. Despite its cutting sales forecast for Switch, Nintendo is hell-bent about not losing hope in this stiff console competition. According to Wall Street Journal, Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima is confident that the "company won't make loss by selling it." In fact, Kimishima noted that his company is targeting "2 million units of Switch to be shipped this fiscal year ending in March."

Kimishima Is Confident

Nintendo has been seen that it is losing its confidence towards Switch which is indicated by the cut on sales forecast for the home gaming system. A report from Siliconera however stated that the CEO had shown his confidence that consumers will have a comprehensive grasp of what they are trying to offer once Switch arrives in 2017.

Nintendo Switch Presentation Revealed

In other news, Nintendo has already revealed its plans for Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 that is set to happen on Jan. 12 in Tokyo, Japan. This presentation will soon detail the exact release date and pricing for Nintendo Switch. It is important to note that highlights will include the sneak peek of the games that are being developed and worked on for Switch. While this event will be livestreamed, Kimishima noted that sampling events will also be held in the U.S. and Europe on later dates. Meanwhile, the public will also be given the chance to experience hands-on events afterwards.
