Ubisoft's critically acclaimed Splinter Cell stealth video game franchise for PC is now discounted by 75 percent on Steam for the upcoming Weekend Deal. Recently announced on the Weekend Deal lineup is The Solus Project, which is now available for 40 percent off on Steam.

Steam Weekend Sale Offers Splinter Cell Titles At A Discount

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series acts as the headliner for the weekend event. Each of the Splinter Cell titles can be bought separately, although some titles can be bought for $10 with the Elite Echelon bundle. Included in the discounted bundle are: Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

The latest from the franchise, Splinter Cell: Blacklist is sold separately for $7.50, also included to the Weekend Deal. UPlay is required to play the game, however.  

First released in 2002 along with their tie-in novels, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is a collection of award-winning stealth video games where players take control of the protagonist of the series named Sam Fisher, a highly trained agent of a fictional black-ops sub-division within the NSA, known as the "Third Echelon". Splinter Cell's gameplay trademark is utilizing light and darkness as focal elements for stealth. The series, along with Assassin's Creed, is considered to be one of Ubisoft's flagship franchises.

The Solus Project and Versus Evil Publisher Sale on Steam

Aside from the Splinter Cell franchise, The Solus Project is now 40 percent off available for $12 on the Weekend Deal. According to GameSpot, game producer Versus Evil joins the sale with discounted promotions for all their titles including their popular strategy game The Banner Saga for $6, with its sequel currently sitting at $15. Other discounted games include Guild of Dungeoneering for $5, Armikrog for $7.50, and Skyshine's Bedlam for $2.
