Pokemon GO Update: How Niantic Might Drop Game's 1st Anniversary

There's a lot of things fans are expecting from Pokemon GO. From new features to events, these are stuff that have long echoed within the four corners of the community. And true enough, the game's first year anniversary is one of them. It's interesting to see how Niantic will drop it in the future.

It holds true that the developer of Pokemon GO is fond of doing year round events, one of which is the real world celebration for players of Ingress. Well, in fact, one can put the recent Halloween update as an example. So it's only safe to say that players can expect something for the hit augmented reality game's supposed annual event.

According to Otakukart, the first anniversary of Pokemon GO might be about perks and stuff. Players could be introduced to massive store discounts. Or perhaps, if the studio opts to do such, bonus XP events and boosts can be deemed. The thing is, it's going to be a huge one. It's to be expected anyway.

If the last 3 anniversary events for Ingress is to be followed, medal rewards and XPs boosted are a possibility for Pokemon GO. From Bronze to Silver to Gold to Platinum to even Onyx, these were the medals Niantic introduced to the aforesaid game. These can be checked via the studio's official site.

It's interesting to see, however, if Pokemon GO players will still be around that time of the year. Or if there'll be enough of them to round up the event. After all, as previously reported here at iTech Post, the game's player pool has significantly declined. The latter only shows that the title's hype is slowly fading.

Regardless of the aforementioned truth, the first Pokemon GO anniversary is worth anticipating for. Probably Niantic will finally unleashed brand new features. Or, if things go the way rumors say it, the highly talked about Gen 2 update might arrived. While these are something to look forward to, only time can tell what the anniversary will be about.
