Instagram's Live Video Feature To Rival Facebook's Live Video: What's New?

Many social networking sites are sporting a live video feed feature these days such as Facebook and Twitter. Now, Instagram is said to be featuring the same thing as well. But what's new about it?

According to a written article at Mashable, after copying Snapchat Stories with its own Instagram stories, Instagram is now preparing to introduce live video into their app. Just last month, screenshots and a short video were posted on a Russian website called T Journal. The screenshots and a short video were believed to be Instagram's live video feature.

The article then stated that Instagram did not comment nor acknowledge the screenshots and short video posted on the Russian website. But given that there are many Instagram users and many social networking sites sporting this feature, a live video feature for Instagram is definitely coming. The article also stated that the upcoming feature will be named "Go Insta".

Now that it is strongly believed that a live video feature is definitely coming in Instagram, what's new about it? Sadly, there is none (for now). Instagram has been really tight-lipped about t. What we do know is that Facebook also owns Instagram, so there may be similarities. But given that it will be a new feature for Instagram, it will have some features that are not found on Facebook Live. It will be something like an upgraded version of the Facebook Live.

In case you're wondering what a Facebook Live is, there is a quick explanation at CNET. Here are few things about what you need to know so that you will have a vague idea of what to expect from the upcoming "Go Insta" feature:

Broadcast Yourself. The Facebook Live feature was first announced at 2015. At that time, it was only available to celebrities. But shortly after a while, this feature became available also to the general public.

How To Use Facebook Live? First, open your Facebook account. On your screen under the "What's on your mind?" there is a "Live Video" option. Click that and a "Continue" button will pop out of the screen. After that, you're live.

Next topic to cover is how to use it properly. Given that Internet is full of people with "colorful" opinions, it is best to prepare before using Facebook Live. Here are some things you need to do according to Facebook:

Inform People Beforehand If You're Going To Use Facebook Live. You know the feeling when you posted something that you're so excited about and no one reacts? Admit it or not, it hurts. It I best to build anticipation by letting people know that you will use Facebook Live so that you will some audience.

Check Your Connection. They say that video games make people violent. Not, it is lag that makes people violent. Just imagine if you're viewers are watching your Facebook Live video in real time and you suddenly disappear. Not only they will be disappointed, but also you. And plus, good luck if they will bother to come back or watch your next Facebook Live video.

Go Live With A Purpose. Social networking sites are a really fun place to observe people. For some people, it is everything that builds up their self-esteem. So it's no wonder if they will do anything just to get those likes and comments (good comments).

It is best that if you're planning to go live on Facebook, please do if for something productive. The last thing you want to be is to be one of those people who goes live just for the sake of going live and ends up getting trolled. People who go live on Facebook with no productive goal in mind are just plain sad.
