How To Become A Vampire In Skyrim

The first thing to do is to find a vampire in a vampire cave and let it see you. Do not kill it or you will have to find another one. Let the vampire attack you while keep healing yourself. Wait until you see a text on the screen that says, "You have contacted Sanguare Vampiris." Congratulations, you're already a vampire. Note that you cannot become a vampire once you're already a werewolf.

There is also another way on how to obtain vampirism. This is under the Dawnguard Questline. You will come to a point where you will have to choose if you want to be turned into a pure-blooded vampire or just be banished.

How To Become A Werewolf In Skyrim

For those who want to become a part of the pack, there are ways on how to do it, all of them are during and after the Companions Questline. In the quest "The Silverhand," follow Skjar into a cave under the forge by the Jorrvaskr. Inside the cave is Alea in a Werewolf, Skjar will speak about the history of their gift of Hircine and will cut Alea's arm in her werewolf form. Now drink Alea's blood from a basin. The character then will black out and become a werewolf. Stay within the area since heading out will make the guards and citizens hostile to you. The player should now be free to become a Werewolf after "The Silver Hand" quest.

There are certain pros and cons in becoming a vampire or a werewolf. Once you've become a vampire, you'll get weaker and weaker against sunlight every day you spend without blood. Being a werewolf on the same hand causes inability to gain a bonus from sleeping. Think twice before you turn your character into one of them.
