Pokemon Sun And Moon Guide To Eevee's First Gen Evolutions: Vaporeon, Jolteon And Flareon

Eevee has all eight evolutions in Pokemon Sun and Moon and each equally amazing. The original three evolutions, Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon, are must haves when the first generation titles came out. Six generations forward, they are still some of the most sought out Pokemon today (even in Pokemon GO).

Pokemon Sun and Moon: Vaporeon

At entry #124 in the Alola Pokedex, there's Vaporeon, a direct evolution of Eevee. The Water-type monster is known as the "Bubble Jet Pokemon" and can be had by using the Water Stone on Eevee.

You can find the Water Stone shortly after catching your first Eevee in both Pokemon Sun and Moon. Before you enter the forest in Route 8 in Akala Island, watch out for some water at the left side. You will find the Water Stone under the water. You can also find some in Poke Pelago or in the shop at Konikoni City, but you must have 3,000 credits ready.

Its weaknesses are Electric- and Grass-types. It has a high HP and Special Attack stats, but it is a little low on both Attack and Defense. Its ability, Water Absorb, allows it to restore some HP if attacked using a Water-type move.

Pokemon Sun and Moon: Jolteon

Right next to Vaporeon at entry #125 is Jolteon, the Electric-type evolution of Eevee. To get a "Lightning Pokemon," you need to get yourself one of those Thunder Stones. Luckily, this kind of Stone is abundant in Alola.

You can find one for your Pokemon Sun and Moon Eevee on Route 8 at the Fossil Restoration Center. Look behind the Caravan to spot it. You can also get yourself some more at the Poke Pelago or in Konikoni City. You can shop for it for 3,000 credits.

Jolteon's sole weakness is Ground-type Pokemon. Its specialty is Speed with Special Attack as not-so-close second. Its Attack and Defense are not so high like Vaporeon's. However, unlike its Water-type sibling, it has low HP. Its ability Volt Absorb, though, helps it get some HP if hit by an Electric-type move.

Pokemon Sun and Moon: Flareon

Then we have the "Flame Pokemon" at entry #126. Fire-type Pokemon Flareon requires a Fire Stone. You can also find one in different parts of the Pokemon Sun and Moon region.

Right in Akala Island, you can also get a Fire Stone. Head to the northwest part of Diglett's Tunnel. You can use Tauros to get the stone. Then you can also head over to the Poke Pelago to score a Fire Stone or some other stones. It can also be bought off from the shop in Konikoni for 3,000 credits.

It has a rather long list of weakness: Ground, Rock and Water. If you want a Pokemon that is more on Attack, Flareon is right for you. Its Special Attack and Special Defense are okay, but its HP and Defense are somewhat low. Its ability Flash Fire, unlike the other two, absorbs the Fire-type moves of the opponent and uses them to power up your Flareon's own Fire-type moves.

So, what type of Eevee evolution are you having in Pokemon Sun and Moon? We have five more evolutions to discuss, so stay tuned.
