The midseason finale for "Quantico" season 2 left fans with a shocker. In episode 8 titled "Odenvy," Alex had a hand-to-hand combat with a masked terrorist. She definitely had the upper hand until she ripped the man's mask and it turned out to be her ex-fiance, Ryan!

"Quantico" season 2, episode 8 started with some hot make-out session of Ryan and Alex at the Farm when Raina came. Ryan was invited by the AIC and later, it was revealed that Shelby was part of it too. Alex felt betrayed that both her fiance and best friend left her in the dark about it but Shelby told her she isn't cut for it.

Alex and Ryan had a serious talk and Ryan proposed marriage to her saying he will leave everything behind for her. Alex accepted the proposal. Alex refused a job offer from FBI. Meanwhile, Ryan and the other AIC recruits received a video from AIC about the crimes they committed while doing the AIC tests. AIC threatened to ruin them if they do not follow their demands.

In the future timeline of "Quantico" season 2, episode 8, Alex, Dayana, Sebastian, Harry and Leon were on the run from the terrorists. Alex called Shelby for a plan, their time is running out and Dayana was bleeding a lot. In another room, Raina met a CLF member who turned out to be her sister Nimah. She said she had been with the terrorists for six months and tried to convince Raina that what the terrorists are doing is the right thing.

Alex and Sebastian realized that the terrorists plan on spreading the virus throughout the building. On their way to find help, the group was surrounded by the CLF members. One of them tried to pull away Alex from the group and they engaged in a one-on-one combat. She ripped the man's mask only to see her ex-lover's face. Ryan pushed her back and said, "If you cross this line, the weapon will be set off. Everyone will die."
