The fate of Steve Rogers was uncertain when the movie "Captain America: Civil War" ended. His position as the titular leader of the Avengers was left hanging. This resulted to speculations as to Captain America's fate in "Avengers: Infinity War."
A Big Hint Of Change From Bucky
However, a post on the Instagram account of Sebastian Stan may give a big hint as to what will happen to Captain America/Steve Rogers in "Avengers: Infinity War" and in the succeeding Marvel films where his character will be involved. Stan shared his photo on Instagram in which he was pictured with a shield that is very similar to that of Captain America.
However, the shield he is carrying does not have the signature red and blue rings of the original Captain. On their place is a plain and simple shiny metal adorned with a red star at the center. This icon was undoubtedly inspired by the metal arm of Bucky. There's a caption in the photo saying this shield "will come in handy." Could this be a hint of what will happen in "Avengers: Infinity War?"
The Avengers Will Fight Thanos
The plot of "Avengers: Infinity War" is about the team of Captain America fighting against Thanos, a villain that comes from another planet. But it is also rumored that the upcoming movie will introduce a fresh Captain America. The Captain that fans of this movie franchise know are exclusively played by Chris Evans.
But based on some reports, Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) will not be the Captain in "Avengers: Infinity War." The rumors indicate that it will be Bucky Barnes (Stan) who will take the responsibility and the honors of being the new Captain. What will happen to Chris Evans if this will be the case?
It is speculated that Rogers will take a position that will supervise the missions of the Avengers in "Avengers: Infinity War." There are also some rumors that Rogers will keep Bucky up to speed since he has been put to deep sleep for nearly one hundred years. Until the movie's release, all the avid fans can do is to wait for more spoilers.
