Naughty Dog has been definitely good with their fans. Just when we thought that the renowned game developer was finished giving us lovely surprises such as the confirmation of The Last of Us Part 2 and Crash Bandicoot games during the PlayStation Experience, they added another game favorite to surprise us even more, a stand-alone Uncharted DLC titled Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
The new stand-alone DLC game from the Uncharted series, The Lost Legacy trailer had the audience startled upon seeing Chloe Frazer teaming up with Nadine Ross, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's antagonist, to find the Tusk of Ganesha in India.
Who is Chloe Frazer?
For those not quite familiar with the Uncharted games, Chloe Frazer is an Australian treasure hunter who was introduced in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. She had a relationship with Uncharted main protagonist, Nathan Drake, for quite some time. Unfortunately, their relationship was "rocky" and she finally came to accept that Nathan had fallen for Elena and she remained good friends with her ex despite her feelings, as seen in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
Why Chloe Frazer would best fit as the main character in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
As to why Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will have Chloe Frazer as the main character, Naughty Dog creative director Shaun Escayg explained in the official PlayStation blog, "Over the years, we've assembled an incredible cast of characters, but of them all, we kept coming back to one in particular: Chloe Frazer. As the smooth-talking master thief who debuted in Uncharted 2, Chloe is not only one of our favorite characters, but we know she's a favorite amongst our community. She's also a strong and enigmatic character - in other words, perfect to be our lead protagonist in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy."
Why Nadine Ross in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
As mentioned earlier, Chloe will team up with Nadine in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, who, according to Naughty Dog is another interesting character who is a skilled tactician and her "cool, calculating nature" would play a significant contrast to Chloe's intelligence and improvisation. And yes, there will be a lot of driving as Chloe is known for her "skills behind the wheels".
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy DLC expansion will not require players to have the Uncharted 4 game to play it as it will be released independently to the PS4, crossing fingers for 2017.
