Subaru has always been known to offer quality vehicles that allow the buyers to get the most out of their money. 2017 Subaru Forester Specs

The 2017 Subaru has two powertrains as reported by The Car Connection. The base engine is a 2.5-liter flat-4 that can put out 174 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The other one is a 2.0-liter flat-4 turbocharged engine capable of cranking 250 horsepower, which will be available in the higher trims. The powertrain in the lower trim is matched with a six-speed manual gearbox with an option for a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The more powerful engine however, will only be available in CVT but there is a SI-Drive system that will make the Forester feel like it's paired with six or eight-speed automatic transmission. A shift paddle is also available to simulate a manual gear change feeling.

The 2017 Subaru Forester is packed with features designed to keep its passengers from harm. According to Car and Driver, the 2017 Subaru Forester is equipped with dual-stage driver and passenger front and side airbags, low tire pressure warning, outboard front lap, shoulder safety belts and rear child safety locks. The 2017 Forester also has driver knee airbag, airbag occupancy sensor, side impact beams, electronic stability control and anti-lock brake system with driveline traction control.

Price And Other Details

The 2017 Subaru Forester has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) that starts with $22,595. The price goes up as buyers move to higher trims. Reports stated that the top trim has an MSRP of $34,295. The fuel efficiency is also one of the factors that give the 2017 Subaru Forester a good value. It has a fuel economy rating of 26/32/28 in the city, highway and combined.
