343 Industries To Release A Huge Halo 5 Update, Details Revealed

Fans of Halo 5 fans are in for a big treat. That's because developer 343 Industries is set to release a massive update on the game's version of Xbox One (Guardians) and PC (Forge). Not only a truckload of items are coming, but a good set of mini-games are included as well. This one here is definitely worth anticipating for.

According to GameSpot, the studio shared some insights as to what the new scripting feature will be about. In one side, it totally changes the Forge mode into something that's powerful. The update is deemed as the "Monitor's Bounty," as it focuses more on brand new map options, weapons and skins.

Halo 5, via the next update, will also include an observer mode. Nevertheless, the most interesting one is the possibility of scripting customized contents to their maps (in Forge). It kind of works like modding in a sense.

Through this feature, players will be able to script modifications with ease. And not just that -- they can do so up to a total of 64 varied objects. Heck, these can even be done at a single sitting. There will be four actions (in every condition). A total of three level script activations can also be expected on the game's map, object and script levels.

Being able to script means that Halo 5 players can easily create their own mini-games -- all unique to each other. It first came to light when 343 Industries introduced the brand new Battle Golf mode, along with some returning modes -- one of which is the Race Mode.

Among the other features added to the game is the custom browser, which is available for both the Xbox One and PC platforms. This one here allows players to efficiently scout out the multiple maps they want to play and when they want to play them. For the users of Microsoft's console, they'll be treated to an auto-save feature. The latter can only be done, though, whenever they're online and/or working on a new kind of Forge map.
