Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Divorce Update: Actress Slams Ex-Husband In Court Over $7M Divorce Settlement

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's divorce drama has not yet come to an end. The "Aquaman" actress was reported to have recently taken files to court to make sure her former husband hands in the remaining balance from the agreed $7 million divorce settlement.

Both parties are starting to heat up again months after the controversial divorce drama started. It can be traced back to when Heard filed for divorce from the actor in May. She had accused Depp of verbally and physically abusing her, hence, the restraining order. However, the two decided to skip the messy process and just come up with a $7 million divorce agreement.

The 30-year-old actress reportedly filed a Request for Order at the Los Angeles Superior Court to make sure that Depp keeps up his end of the deal and pays the $7 million divorce settlement in full. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor allegedly issued an initial payment of $200,000 cheque while the remaining balance is still overdue.

According to Pierce O'Donnell, Heard's attorney, the 53-year-old actor has ignored the court-ordered deadline for the payment. This is also the case for other mandates in terms of the division of personal property, shipment of belongings from his Bahamas Island and the transfer of a Range Rover into Heard's name. These are just some issues, among others, surrounding the couple's divorce.

The ex-couple's agreement to equally split the $7 million divorce settlement into two charities, namely the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) domestic violence unit and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, has not yet been carried out.

Apart from Heard's complaint regarding the unpaid divorce settlement balance, she also demands Depp to cover her legal fees amounting to $35, 435 in full. Along with the court follow-up is a request for the actor to hand in the remaining balance within the next 12 months so she can wrap up the deal and give the cash to the charities of her choice in 2018.
