Super Mario Run Receives New Patch; Friendly Run Mode Added

Nintendo has previously announced that they have not planned to have an additional content for their new game title Super Mario Run. However, it seems like the announcement is not completely true. Recently, the company has added a new mode to the game title called Friendly Run. It was reported that the new mode is basically a different version of the present Toad Rally mode.

According to the report from Attack of the Fanboy, the only difference between between the two modes is that Friendly Run is totally free and will not require Toad Rally tickets in order for players to play the mode. In addition, players will not also be competing with other players just to get the highest score. Meahwile, any items such as toads or coins that players will acquire along the way will not be counted to their public total. Basically, players can somehow treat this Friendly Run a practice mode for Toad Rally.

However, its only catch is that players can only play the mode once per day if they have not completed the World Tour mode yet. Clearing the World One of World Tour mode will grant players a privilege play with the Friendly Run mode three times a day. Additionally, clearing World Two would increase the number of times players can play the mode from three to five.

Basically, those who are playing Super Mario Run in free mode can only play Friendly Run once per day since the free version does not cover the whole World One of World tour mode. Apparently, it was not the additional content most of the fans would hope for but the fact that it was released, it shows that Nintendo is somehow not truthful to their previously released statement regarding the post-launch support for the game.

Meanwhile, several Super Mario Run fans are now expecting that Nintendo would consider adding more levels to the game. Nonetheless, the game has been progressing at an impressive level as its number of downloads continue to trend to the positive despite the current issue regarding its price. As reported, the game has been downloaded 40 million times since launch.

Super Mario Run is now available on iOS for free while purchasing its full version will cost you $10. In addition, Android version is expected to arrive at some point in 2017.
