Battlefield 1: The Problems With The Current Repair Tool

Have you ever found yourself repairing a damaged tank only to realize that your teammate had already hopped out and abandoned the vehicle; leaving you for dead right onto the battlefield? Or randomly exiting from the vehicle which is nonexistent in BF4? Well, those are just a couple of problems associated with the Repair Tool and basically the vehicles as a whole in Battlefield 1. And today, we're going to list the problems why players are having a hard time using the Repair Tool in BF1 as compared to BF4.

Audio Cues

In Battlefield 4, you can give your teammate an audio cue when you're about to repair a vehicle by simply double-clicking it, where your character will then say "I can repair you!" What's more, DICE could also incorporate a deeper audio cue by giving the characters the ability to announce the rough estimate of the repair (e.g. "I needed a minute to fix this sir!," etc.). This way, the driver can get a heads up about the current situation of the repair while he's paying attention to the enemies in front of him.

Visual Cues

Currently, we get a notification when a teammate has successfully repaired the vehicle but the problem is, until the process is complete, we wouldn't even know if someone is indeed fixing it up. This is crucial as most players would just ditch out the tank without even knowing that someone is currently repairing the vehicle.

Vehicle Exits

As mentioned above, the exit system of vehicles from BF1 seems to be quite off as you find yourself facing a random direction upon exiting a vehicle. In BF4, you will exit in the direction where you're looking which could make the game less disorienting and could potentially help you survive a counterattack as you can simply look at the back of the tank, exit and you're automatically covered from the possible threats at the frontline.

Repair Meter Bug

If you love using tanks, you may have notice the concurrent repair meter bug which is really annoying especially when you're trying to fully repair a tank. As you can see, the part that indicates whether the tank has been fully repaired or not sometimes bugged out as there are certain moments where it indicates zero or full health when it fact it had taken some damage and needed some repairs. This can be annoying since half of the time, you're trying to discern whether or not, you're actually repairing the vehicle.
