Super Mario Run Update: 2 Things To Watch Out For In Android Pre-Registration; Still Most Downloaded iOS App Despite Fee?

Super Mario Run may no longer be the highest grossing app as critics claim the one-time high purchase fee as the problem. Despite that, Super Mario Run players are still growing as the app is still said to be the most downloaded iOS app in at least 68 nations. Android players may still need to wait for an official Android version but may begin registration now.

Official Super Mario Run for Android Pre-Registration Starts, Beware of Fake Games

It should be noted that the Super Mario Run for Android appearing on Google Play Store as of the moment are fake. In fact, it has been revealed that the Super Mario Run fake games are plagued with loads of malware that may affect Android users. In official news, Nintendo America announced on Twitter that pre-registration for Super Mario Run download on Android is already available on Google Play, IGN reported.

Note that pre-registered users may receive a notification from Nintendo as soon as a Super Mario Run auto-runner is ready for download. The Google Play listing reportedly notes that only the Super Mario Run demo will be free similar to the iOS versions. Hence, a one-time in-game purchase fee may still be the case.

Super Mario Run Still Most Downloaded App on iOS Devices

In other news, Super Mario Run may be criticized for the $10 fee to unlock the full game resulting in the game getting knocked off as the highest grossing app in the country. It could be remembered that Super Mario Run speedily climbed up to the title after launching in Dec. 15. However, latest data on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 reveal that the game was no longer selling as much.

Super Mario Run, has still retained its title as the most downloaded iOS app in at least 68 nations. Note that this data notes takes the game into consideration of free downloads.
