The official blog for the popular fighting video game, “Killer Instinct” dropped a new announcement. The said announcement revealed the emergence of a new character named Kilgore, who packs a new set of weapons. Aside from the update, the said DLC is a drive to support a greater cause.

The developers of “Killer Instinct” have been dropping various expansions regularly to keep players at bay. Now the latest update included a new playable character named Kilgore, which is the first of the Ultimates new characters that it will be releasing for its upcoming tournament season. Kilgore has been introduced as an Ultratech prototype who has been reactivated to help fight against Gargos after it was abandoned in favor of the Fulgore line.

The latest downloadable content featuring Kilgore has now been released and is available for download all over the world. Kilgore packs quite a punch with his explosive mechanisms that include dual Gatling gun weapons and even other explosive projectiles. Though he clearly packs on quite a weight thanks to his exterior, he can jump and evade as well as possess melee attacks.

The official blog site of “Killer Instinct” also revealed that there is more to this update than what meets the eye. As a matter of fact, the purchase of the said downloadable content featuring Kilgore will be part of the video game’s 2017 KI Ultra Tour Community Fund. Half of every Kilgore DLC purchase made will go to the said community fund.

The blog has also pointed out to players that even if competing in tournaments was not their thing, they can still show their support for “Killer Instinct” through this initiative. The 2017 Killer Instinct Ultra Tour was announced just as soon the New Year kicked in. It will be reintroducing the Ultimates as it heads on to its third season of competitive gaming, which will also bring in more characters.
