Heroes Of The Storm Weekend Event Unlocks All Heroes For Free

Heroes of the Storm players will have a chance to play all the heroes for free if they want to during the upcoming Weekend Event. This is what Blizzard announced just recently in an attempt to lure back players into its MOBA.

The Heroes of the Storm Weekend Event is Blizzard's way of thanking its fans for 2016 and also to kick off the year 2017. In its promotional trailer, Blizzard has added 16 new heroes to the game including Overwatch's Zarya and World of Warcraft's Varian Wynn. They also made 24 hero updates, which is evident that the game is bringing an update of massive proportions to the game.

The news of being able to play the characters for free is sure to attract a lot of players back into the game. Typically, all playable characters need to be purchased by real money or the in-game currency. Also, Blizzard allows players to play selected heroes every week for free. This time, however, the whole roster is available for play and it is for free. The promo will run from January 13 - January 16.

The promo is also in line with Blizzard's tagline in the teaser video which says, "it's time to choose a new hero." Thus, for those who are toying with the idea will have a chance to test each character first before making a dive.

Aside from new characters, the teaser trailer also revealed what else Heroes of the Storm players should expect. These include 49 new skins, 4 legendary skins for the characters, 26 mounts and 2 new battlegrounds. The Haunted Mines is also receiving an update.

Meanwhile, the Weekly Sale for this week from January 10 - January 17 has Tracer, Spectre Tracer Skin, and Demonic Auriel Skin on sale. There are also new skin and bundles available including the Bronze Tiger Kharazim and Dream Genie Chromie skins as well as the Luxorian Nights and Ultimate Luxorian Nights bundles which will be available until January 24.
