Stardew Valley Nintendo Switch Release Confirmed; Bug Fixes For Xbox One And PS4, Here Are The Details

Eric Barone, game designer of Stardew Valley has recently made an announcement that will make the fans of the video game happy. However, along with the happy announcement, he also mentioned something that will not be welcomed by some fans of the game. Now, here are the happy and sad announcements.

Bug Fixes For Stardew Valley Will Be Released On February

According to Barone's most recent update of Stardew Valley, the bug fixes of Xbox One and PS4 will likely roll out in early February. The update stated that the developer is resolving the issues involving the consoles, particularly the unloading problems of saved games. A patch will be released to address this problem, along with a fix for other issues.

Barone, who signs his update as ConcernedApe, also stated in his update that Stardew Valley will not be among the launch day games for the Nintendo Switch. However, he promised that he will make the game available in the platform later this year. Fans are hoping that Barone will make good his promise.

They Are Developing A PlayStation Vita Port

In addition, he also indicated that they are looking into the possibility of developing a PlayStation Vita port for Stardew Valley. This could explain why there were a number of Vita trophies for the game that appeared several months ago. The development of this particular porting system was previously announced last year.

It is interesting that this recent announcement came just in time when the Stardew Valley version for Wii U was cancelled. Some have speculated that perhaps things didn't go well with ConcernedApe and Wii U leading into the cancelation. However, it now appears that Nintendo Switch suits the video game very well.

At any rate, this release date announcement for Stardew Valley on Nintendo Switch gave the fans an assurance that it will be finally rolled out. Furthermore, there will be a localization beta testing on PC that will be conducted next month. Barone also stated that the multiplayers mode is still under game development.
