Video Games And Updates Releasing This Week You Have To Watch Out For

This week may perhaps be the biggest week of the month in the gaming community with loads of new releases and updates. Among these are a handful that we have been looking forward to ever since they were announced. Here are some that you should lookout for on Jan. 24.

Video Game Releases: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a collection of three Kingdom Hearts goodies, namely an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and a Kingdom Hearts X cinematic based on the events not shown during the original title. Then there is the original game Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage, which takes on the perspective of Aqua after the events of the game.

Basically, you can expect wandering in all the worlds of Dream Drop Distance with much better graphics and find out a bit more info on the series with the cinematic. Then you can wrap the package in a new Kingdom Hearts experience through Aqua. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 has already been released in Japan on Jan. 12 and now the rest of the world is getting it too on Jan. 24.

Video Game Releases: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Reviews of Resident Evil 7 are already streaming in and the verdict? A++. The title redeems the whole series after a couple or more mishaps and we're absolutely thrilled about it. The game follows Ethan who fatefully meets the Baker family. While they are not exactly zombies, they scare you out of your wits.

Resident Evil 7 did stray away from the series formula, but it traced back to its roots. You get the same feeling of horror you would expect from every title in the franchise. The demo, if we're to believe the reviews, certainly did not prepare players for this.

Video Game Update: The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack

Bloodsuckers are finally coming to The Sims 4. Last week, we got a little more information on the new expansion, but now we'll finally be able to find out all the new stuff we're getting. Just how different will the vampires be from their likeness in past titles? The installment redefined some mainstay elements of the franchise, so I'm really looking forward to The Sims 4 version of vampires.

Video Game Update: Overwatch's Chinese New Year Event

Overwatch's is a game that's not shy about celebrating holidays with new stuff. This time, the multiplayer video game is in on the festivities of Chinese New Year. Called The Year of the Rooster, the Overwatch event will feature new character skins, some of which have already been leaked. It is definitely not an event to miss for all fans of the shooter title.

I don't know what it is about Jan. 24 that makes it the perfect date for video game releases and updates, but it sure sets the hype up. Thankfully, it is only a day from now, so we can all enjoy the aforementioned titles, DLC and events in no time.
