Invites For Injustice 2 Beta Going Out

More hype is building up towards the release of NetherRealm's Injustice 2, and the developers are reportedly sending out codes to gamers for the beta. Before the game comes out in May, players can check out gameplay for characters like Batman, Supergirl, Atrocitus and Superman.

Injustice 2 Beta

According to Game Rant, anybody signed up for the Injustice 2 beta should keep an eye out on their inboxes because NetherRealm is still sending out codes for the beta. The beta is said to be active immediately after the player gets their code and it will be up for a month. Though the beta only has four playable characters as of now, more characters are said to be added as time goes on. Hopefully players can try out the rumored characters that are coming out like Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow and Brainiac.

Fans who haven't signed up for the beta shouldn't be worried as well. NetherRealm is said to still be accepting applicants, and they can apply here.

Damian Wayne: Boy Wonder

Aside from the news on the beta, NetherRealm has also released a new gameplay trailer showcasing Batman's sidekick, Robin. This Robin isn't the classic Dick Grayson Robin, however, but Batman's son Damian Wayne. In the comics, Damian was the son of Bruce and Talia al Ghul, and he was trained since he was a child to be a skillful assassin before Batman took him up as an apprentice.

The trailer shows Damian wielding a katana and an arsenal of Robin's trademark gadgets. Interestingly enough, the banter between him and Bruce seems to imply that Damian has killed the first Robin, Dick Grayson. This, of course, is still speculation, but anything can happen in the alternate Injustice timeline.

Injustice 2 is playable for the Xbox One and PS4, and is set for a release on May 16.
