Future iPhones To Feature LCD Panels Made Of Plastic

Apple, with its series of revelations regarding its new devices, is yet to unfold another surprise for its avid customers. The company has been widely-known for putting risks on their devices that consumers definitely love. Just recently, Apple is expected to release iPhones that would have plastic LCD panels and production might start real soon.

iPhones To Feature LCD Panels In 2018, Would It Be Made With Plastic?

According to International Business Times, Apple and its alleged partner, Japan Display Inc, is currently in the works of collaborating with the future iPhones. The Japanese display provider is said to have laid down all the necessary details in order for the iPhones with plastic LCD panels to be a reality.

Just this week, the alleged partner already gave a hint as to what the future Apple products would look like. The company admitted that Apple would be having a great production of LCD panels made with plastic instead of the usual glass.

On the other hand, Japan Display COO Shuji Aruga admitted that the plastic LCD panels could not be flexible when compared to the OLED. However, it was reiterated that the decision made in changing the material is mainly because of the affordability and the flexibility that it could get compare to the usual handsets made by Apple.

The said innovation is capable enough to bend and create screens that are really similar as the one in the Samsung's Galaxy Edge.

Japan Display Inc Hopes To Collaborate With Computer And Car Companies

Moreover, it is believed that the screen provider is aiming to partner with the makers of laptops, computers and cars. As a matter of fact, Huawei Technologies Co. is already one of its clients but information regarding the production are still remain kept.

The said LCD panels for the iPhones are expected to release in 2018 and would continue in the near future.
